Biography

Breanya Hogue is an Assistant Professor in Literacy Language Education at Purdue University College of Education. She teaches undergraduate courses focused on early K-2 literacy methods and graduate courses in literacy foundations, coaching, and advanced qualitative inquiry. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Literacy, Culture, and Language Education from Indiana University, a Master of Education in School Counseling from the University of Louisville, and a Bachelor of Science in Early Elementary Education also from the University of Louisville. Breanya has published in journals such as the Journal of Children’s Literature and Studying Teacher Education and has authored children's books reflecting her teaching experiences.
