Biography

Brendan D. O’Neill, MD, FRCSC, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Dalhousie University. He earned his medical degree from Dalhousie University in 2007 and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Calgary in 2012, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. He completed a Comprehensive Knee Fellowship at the University of Ottawa in 2013 and an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Western University in London in 2014. Dr. O’Neill practiced as a consultant orthopedic surgeon at Woodstock General Hospital from 2014 to 2017 before returning to Nova Scotia to join Dalhousie University. His subspecialty focuses on hip and knee surgeries, with an emphasis on primary hip and knee replacements. He practices at Dartmouth General Hospital and Halifax Infirmary.
