Professor Dr. Brent Donnellan

Biography

Brent Donnellan is a Professor of Psychology at Michigan State University and served as Chairperson of the Department of Psychology from August 2018 to August 2022. He obtained his PhD in Human Development from the University of California, Davis, in 2001, and his BS in Psychology from the same institution in 1994. His research primarily focuses on the intersections of personality psychology and developmental psychology, with significant contributions to areas such as psychological assessment, well-being assessment, and personality trait development. He is also noted for his methodological reforms in psychological science. Brent serves as a Senior Personality Editor for Collabra: Psychology and has collaborated with Richard E. Lucas on the publication of 'Great Myths of Personality,' released in 2021.
