Dr. Brent Luu

Biography

Brent Luu is an Associate Clinical Professor at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at the University of California, Davis. He teaches pharmacology series courses and has over a decade of experience in pharmacy practice management, focusing on acute care, ambulatory care, oncology, and home infusion settings. Prior to his current role, he worked as a clinical pharmacist practitioner for Kaiser Permanente and managed a Wal-Mart Pharmacy while co-owning an independent pharmacy in West Sacramento. Luu's primary focus is on patient care and medication safety, with the aim of preparing students to optimize pharmacotherapy outcomes while minimizing adverse drug events. His clinical interests encompass pain management, neurology, and chronic disease management. Luu holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Pacific School of Pharmacy and has earned board certification as a pharmacotherapy specialist and ambulatory care pharmacist.
