Biography

Brent J. Maundy, originally from Port of Spain, Trinidad, earned his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1983 and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 1986, both from the University of The West Indies, St. Augustine. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada, in 1992 and subsequently undertook a one-year Postdoctoral Fellowship there. Maundy has been a member of the analog microelectronics group and has experience in the defense industry, focusing on mixed signal projects. He joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Calgary in 1997 and currently holds a professorship. His research interests encompass classical microelectronics, electronic circuit design, bio-impedance measurements, linear circuit elements, high-speed amplifier design, active filters, and modeling energy storage devices, among others. He has authored or co-authored 199 publications with an h-index of 32, served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, and contributed as a reviewer for various notable IEEE conferences.
