Biography

Brett Ashley Crawford is a Teaching Professor and Faculty Chair of the Masters of Arts & Entertainment Management programs at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College. With extensive experience as a professional arts manager, particularly in theater, Crawford has held significant positions including Managing Director at Imagination Stage in Bethesda, MD, and production manager at Horowitz Center Arts in Columbia, MD. He has also taught at various institutions including American University and the University of Maryland. He holds a B.S. in Theatre from Northwestern University, an MFA in Arts Management from Texas Tech University, and a Ph.D. in Theatre History from the University of Maryland.
