Brett Goudie, MD, received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Hasbro Children's Hospital and underwent a three-year fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Goudie joined the pediatric cardiology division at Hasbro Children's Hospital in 2011 after five years at the Nemours Cardiac Center/Alfred duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. He has gained extensive experience in the management of heart failure and heart transplantation as well as preoperative and postoperative management of congenital heart disease in a cardiac ICU setting. Dr. Goudie is a general outpatient cardiologist with an additional focus on noninvasive imaging and exercise physiology, and he is board certified in pediatric cardiology. As an assistant professor of pediatrics (clinical) at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, he has served on the board of the Southern New England chapter of the American Heart Association until 2019. His research interests include the New England Congenital Cardiology Association where he studies treatments to attenuate aortic dilation in patients with a bicuspid aortic valve. He is also involved in clinical research projects focusing on ischemia in the pediatric exercise stress lab.
