Biography

Brett Kolesnik is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Warwick. He obtained his PhD in Mathematics from the University of British Columbia, where he was advised by Professor Omer Angel. His research interests lie in Probability Theory, focusing on random structures, geometry, processes, interactions, combinatorics, and discrete mathematics. Kolesnik has been recognized as a Postdoctoral Fellow by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and has held a Visiting Assistant Professor position at the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, he was a Florence Nightingale Bicentennial Fellow at the University of Oxford and served as a Senior Demy at Magdalen College. Currently, he is involved in teaching Multivariate Statistics courses at Warwick.
