Dr. Brian Billups

Biography

Brian Billups is an Associate Professor at the Eccles Institute of Neuroscience at the Australian National University. He has a strong research background, focusing on the interplay between amino acid transporters and neurotransmission. His work includes projects on amino acid homeostasis and dynamic trafficking of transporters at synapses, which are critical for understanding how neurotransmission is regulated. Over the years, Brian has published extensively, contributing significantly to the field of neuroscience. He holds a BSc with Honours, a Master's degree, and a PhD, and is actively involved in supervising research students.
