Dr. Brian Fasolka

Biography

Brian Fasolka is a Clinical Associate Professor at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing, where he coordinates interprofessional education and serves as Assistant Dean. His research interests include professional mentoring, men's nursing, and nursing workforce planning. He has a background in emergency nursing and continues to practice as an emergency nurse at a tertiary hospital. Fasolka has contributed to the development of the Emergency Nursing Scope Standards of Practice and maintains board certification as an emergency nurse. He serves on the board of directors for the American Association for Men in Nursing. Before joining NYU, he was a Clinical Assistant Professor at Drexel University College of Nursing & Health Professions, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in adult health pharmacology and health policy. His teaching experience also includes numerous international engagement opportunities and mentoring many graduate nursing education students. Fasolka holds a PhD in Nursing Science from Widener University, and a Master of Science in Nursing Education and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from DeSales University. His work contributes significantly to enhancing nursing practice and education, with a focus on quality improvement and interprofessional collaboration in nursing.
