Biography

Brian Orend is a Professor at the University of Waterloo, specializing in the fields of war and peace, human rights, and international law. His notable contributions to the field include significant work on the ethics of post-war reconstruction, particularly the concept of 'jus post bellum', which addresses justice after war. Orend's research interests also extend to Kant's political philosophy and the moral implications of happiness in relation to chronic conditions.
