Biography

Bridget Brasher is currently a 2025-2026 Fellow at the Harvard Center for Hellenic Studies and a Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Classical Studies in London. After completing her PhD in Classical Philosophy at Princeton University in Fall 2023, she remains a Research Affiliate and has served as a Postdoctoral Associate for several years at MIT. Her research primarily focuses on ancient Greek, Roman, and Indian philosophy, with a particular interest in how ancient theories about the physical world have influenced the history of science. Her current projects examine ancient perspectives on space and motion, and she explores the extent to which ancient traditions perceived metaphysics and ethics as interconnected. In addition to her work on ancient philosophy and the history of science, she is also engaged in feminist philosophy and ethics concerning artificial intelligence.
