Dr. Brigitte Jaumard

Biography

Brigitte Jaumard is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Concordia University. Her research interests encompass a wide array of topics including Large Scale Optimization, Machine Learning, Optical Wireless Networking, Logistics, and Automated Mechanism Design. She is actively engaged in research activities that focus on Adaptive Slicing and Intelligent Network Automation, collaborating with industry partners such as Ciena to develop closed-loop mechanisms enabled by Software Defined Networking (SDN). These mechanisms are designed to enhance network management and configuration, allowing for dynamic and automated optimization of network resources using machine learning algorithms. Additionally, she investigates the detection and prediction of network vulnerabilities through the development of machine learning models and algorithms in collaboration with EXFO. Her work is pivotal in advancing the performance and reliability of 5G networks by ensuring lower latency and higher data rates through intelligent network slicing and real-time monitoring tools.
