Biography

Brigitte Pilon originally from Sudbury moved to Ottawa in 1984 to pursue legal studies. She has practiced in the areas of wills, estates, and real estate transactions at the beginning of her legal career. Brigitte taught the Bar Admission Course for twelve years in these areas of law. Her interest in the field of education motivated her to run as a school board trustee in 2006, and she worked with the Conseil scolaire catholique du Centre-Est (CECCE) until 2018. Brigitte helped create course materials and taught the Real Estate Transactions course at the Law Practice Program for four years. From 1995 to 2017, she administered a legal aid clinic at the Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre, committed to providing students with a favorable environment for success by supporting their academic development and personal growth, and preparing them for careers in law.
