Dr. Britt Anderson

Biography

Britt Anderson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Waterloo. She holds a BA from the University of Arizona, an MD from the University of Southern California, and a PhD from Brown University. Her research interests primarily lie in cognitive psychology, with a specific focus on the mechanisms of attention updating and the cognitive processes affected by focal brain injuries. Anderson's work combines computationally framed hypotheses with behavioral studies in normal subjects, seeking to understand the intricacies of cognitive functions. She is currently accepting graduate student applications for Fall 2026 and is engaged in mentorship and academic guidance within her research lab. Anderson has been involved in numerous conferences and seminars, presenting her findings and collaborating with fellow researchers in the field.
