Biography

Britta Buzzi Huppert graduated from the Federal Institute of Technology Zurich in 1992 with a degree in Architecture. She undertook study trips to Japan and has collaborated with architects such as Miroslav Sik and Fabrizio Gellera. From 1995 to 2010, she was the owner of Buzzi e Buzzi studio in Locarno, where she realized residential buildings and participated in various competitions. In 2010, the ETH Zurich dedicated a retrospective exhibition of her firm, which later continued in Eindhoven (2011) and Paris (2012). Between 2002 and 2019, Britta was a member of professional association committees in Switzerland, serving on the Landscape Commission for the Canton of Ticino from 2007 to 2019. Currently, she is a scientific collaborator in the Area of Construction Technology directed by Professor Franz Graf, in addition to her teaching and research responsibilities focusing on technical-constructive subjects. She is also the editor of the series 'Buildings of the 20th Century in the Canton of Ticino', published by Mendrisio Academy Press in 2013.
