Biography

Britta Lothary is a Clinical Instructor II at the School of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has a comprehensive educational background with a Master's in Adult Nurse Practitioner from Maryville University St. Louis, achieved in 2012, and two Bachelor's degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia, one in Accelerated Nursing in 2008 and the other in Biological Sciences in 2006. Britta teaches Pharmacology in the Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program, focusing on undergraduate clinicals with an emphasis on prioritization, application, and critical thinking skills in an adult setting. Her clinical scholarship focuses on enhancing teaching and learning methodologies, including continuous development in pharmacology through active assignments and innovative teaching techniques. Additionally, Britta has developed numerous initiatives such as the School of Nursing Support Circles and NCLEX Board Prep classes to assist diverse student populations. She actively engages in community outreach, having led grandparent university programs sponsored by the Wisconsin Alumni Association.
