Biography

Brittany Carr is an Assistant Professor and Affiliate Member in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Alberta. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Calgary. Her areas of expertise include retinal degeneration, animal models, and cell biology, with a focus on replicating human inherited retinal degeneration in animal models. Additionally, she collaborates with geneticists to identify new models that replicate disease characteristics.
