Biography

Brock Craft is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington. He specializes in Information Visualization, Human-Computer Interaction, Physical Computing, and Learning Design. Prior to his current position, Dr. Craft was a Lecturer in Physical Computing at Goldsmiths, University of London, and served as a Senior Tutor on the Master of Arts in Information Experience Design at the Royal College of Art in London. He has a PhD in Computer Science from University College London and a Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University in Chicago. Dr. Craft is a co-founder of Tinker London, a design consultancy that focuses on bridging digital and physical products, having designed products for high-profile clients such as Sony, Nokia, and BBC. His experience in academia and industry positions him as a leading expert in his research areas, contributing significantly to the fields of design and engineering education.
