Brooklyn Derksen is a passionate lecturer in the College of Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan, with a focus on emergency medicine and global health. She is currently involved in a large multi-site project with BC Children’s and Women’s Hospital’s Institute for Global Health, called Smart Discharges, which aims to prevent child mortality upon discharge from hospitals in Uganda through risk prediction modeling and sustainable change.
