Bruce Gordon, originally from Canada, has a robust academic background in Religious History, with a focus on the late medieval and early modern periods. He served as a professor of modern history and deputy director at the University of St. Andrews' Reformation Studies Institute before joining the faculty at Yale University in 2008. His research and teaching delve into European religious cultures, particularly the Reformation and its receptions. Some of his significant publications include 'Zwingli: God's Armed Prophet' (Yale, 2021) and 'John Calvin's Institutes of the Christian Religion' (Princeton, 2016), both of which explore the profound impacts of the Reformation.
