Dr. Bruno Frazier

Biography

Bruno Frazier received B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Auburn University in 1986 and 1987, respectively. From 1987 to 1990, he worked at Intergraph Corporation as a video graphics custom circuit designer for UNIX-based computer-aided graphics systems. Between 1990 and 1993, he was in the graduate program at Georgia Institute of Technology, focusing on microsystems with an emphasis on micromachining. In December 1993, he received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech. He served as a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan from March 1994 to July 1995, where he focused on the development of integrated hygrometers and transformer technologies. Frazier held a joint faculty position as a professor of electrical engineering and bioengineering at the University of Utah from August 1995 to August 1999. In September 1999, he joined the electrical and computer engineering faculty at Georgia Tech. His research has led to significant publications in areas such as advanced packaging technologies and microfluidic systems. He has a wide array of technical interests including Micromachining, MEMS, and Microsystems Technology among others.
