Biography

Bruno Lee specializes in building energy performance simulation, with current research focused on the interdisciplinary nature of building envelopes, HVAC systems, renewable energy systems, and lighting applied to buildings as a whole. His work investigates computational simulation techniques to study the performance of the built environment in an integrated manner. The objectives of his research are to facilitate building design decisions based on objective data-driven reasoning and to advance evaluation methods that ensure robust design solutions capable of surviving future challenges in a dynamic environment. Current projects involve the application of building performance simulation, sensitivity analysis, cost-benefit analysis, life-cycle analysis, multi-criteria decision making, multi-objective optimization, and stochastic risk analysis to address concerns in the built environment. Dr. Lee joined Concordia University in 2014 and obtained a Ph.D. from the Department of the Built Environment at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. He graduated with an M.S. in Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 2009 and earned a B.Eng with distinction in Building Engineering from Concordia University in 2007, receiving the Building Engineering Medal for his achievements.
