Biography

Bruno Leipold works on the thought of Karl Marx, the republican political tradition, and democratic theory within the context of nineteenth-century political thought. He is the author of 'Citizen Marx' (Princeton University Press, 2024) and co-editor of 'Radical Republicanism' (Oxford University Press, 2020). He has previously held post-doctoral positions at the New Institute, the European University Institute, and Goethe University Frankfurt. Bruno received his DPhil from the University of Oxford and has contributed various scholarly articles and papers on topics related to Marxist thought, socialist feminism, and democratic accountability.
