Biography

Dr. Bruno Passebon Soares is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Stanford University School of Medicine, serving as the Section Chief of Pediatric Neuroradiology at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. He obtained his medical degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Federal University of Sao Paulo. Dr. Soares also completed a fellowship in PET/CT at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute of Harvard Medical School. He has previously held positions at Emory University and Johns Hopkins University, focusing on Pediatric Radiology and Neuroradiology. Dr. Soares has authored more than 85 peer-reviewed articles and has received multiple awards for teaching excellence and research contributions. His research primarily focuses on neonatal and pediatric brain imaging, with a current emphasis on developing semi-automated algorithms to quantify normal and abnormal brain development using deep learning techniques. Dr. Soares is actively involved in editorial duties and professional committees in the field of Neuroradiology.
