Biography

Bruno Vieira obtained his J.D. in 2010, defending a thesis on Predatory Prices in Brazil. In 2014, he received an LLM, with a thesis focused on efficiency incentive regulation in the Brazilian electric power industry. Currently, he serves as an External PhD Candidate at Maastricht University, researching the evolution of law and contract law. He is a lecturer in Private, Business, and Labour Law at Tilburg Law School and is affiliated with an external research program aimed at connecting responsible organizations through technology and new forms of governance. Moreover, he engages in empirical legal analysis using data analytics. Vieira has been active in the Brazilian Bar Association’s Committee on Antitrust Law, particularly in the Minas Gerais subsection. He has held the position of Sutherland Doctoral Fellow at University College Dublin as of September 2023 and previously served as Academic Director of the Centro de Pesquisa em Direito, Tecnologia e Inovação in Brazil. His areas of expertise include Law Evolution, European Contract Law, Company Law, Antitrust Law Regulation, and Law Technology.
