Dr. Bryan Mabee

Biography

Bryan Mabee is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Gothenburg, specializing in International Politics with a focus on the histories and theories of war and militarism. He holds a BA and MA in Political Studies from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada, and a PhD from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. With over 16 years of academic experience in the UK, he has taught at renowned institutions including Oxford Brookes University and Queen Mary, University of London, before transitioning to the School of Global Studies in 2018. His research interests encompass historical sociology, international relations, and foreign policy, with a particular emphasis on the critical analysis of militarism and its impact on global politics. He teaches courses related to war, security, foreign policy, and global political economy, contributing significantly to the academic discourse in these fields.
