Biography

Dr. Bryce Alexander joined the Department of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiology at Queen's University in September 2025. He completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Queen’s University in 2018 and underwent residency training in Internal Medicine from 2018 to 2021, followed by Cardiology training from 2021 to 2024 at the same institution. He further pursued fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure, Transplantation, and Mechanical Circulatory Support at the University of Toronto. His clinical interests encompass cardiogenic shock, temporary durable mechanical circulatory support, and cardiac intensive care. Dr. Alexander's research interests focus on cardiogenic shock, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, implantable electronic cardiac devices, and heart failure therapeutics. His research work has been published in leading medical journals including Circulation, Canadian Medical Association Journal, Nature Reviews Cardiology, JAMA Internal Medicine, and JACC: Advances.
