Biography

Bun Koon is a PhD candidate and research associate in the Department of Political Science at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg. He studied Public Policy, Management, and Politics at the City University of Hong Kong and completed his Master's degree focusing on Human Rights at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. His research focuses on academic freedom and China, as well as the framing of social movements and legitimacy strategies of the People's Republic of China. Since February 2023, he has been a scholarship holder of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.
