Biography

Burcu Tasoluk joined the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan as a visiting research scholar in September 2016 and began teaching in the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program in 2018. Her research interests encompass brand management, luxury brand management, international marketing, and marketing strategy. She has contributed to various academic journals and is a recipient of the prestigious Marie Curie International Reintegration Grant awarded by the European Commission. At Michigan Ross, Tasoluk teaches courses such as 'Marketing Management' and the Marketing Professional Capstone course 'Social & Environmental Responsibility in Marketing.' She also serves as the coordinator for the 'Ross School Senior Thesis Seminar' and is a faculty leader for the Global Immersion course 'History, Culture, and Management of Luxury,' which includes a field trip to Milan, Italy. Before entering academia, Tasoluk gained extensive experience across various sectors, including advertising with Grey Advertising in Istanbul, hospitality with Sheraton Hotels & Towers in Ankara, finance with Pamukbank in Istanbul, and fast-moving consumer goods with Procter & Gamble in Brussels. She has been actively involved in executive education and consulted on strategy during her tenure as a marketing professor at Sabanci University in Istanbul, Turkey.
