Biography

Dr. Hussain received her PhD in Physics with a focus on Medical Physics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Her education also includes an M.S. in Physics from Eastern Michigan University, and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics from the University of Karachi, Pakistan. She has extensive teaching experience in physics across the USA, Canada, and Pakistan, and has a proven record in industrial research. Her research has focused on theoretical condensed matter physics, particularly the study of magnetization dynamics in low-dimensional magnetic nanostructures. She invites students interested in participating in research training in this field. Selected publications include works on dipole-exchange spin waves in ferromagnetic nanorings and two-dimensional van der Waals ferromagnetic films, as well as studies on magnonic bands in magnetic nanoelements. She is recognized for her contributions in academia and research, receiving awards from Western University and Eastern Michigan University for her excellence in teaching and research.
