Biography

D. Byron Holt, M.D., is a board-certified interventional cardiologist and the chief of pediatric cardiology at the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, in clinical partnership with Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. He specializes in interventional catheterization for children and adults with congenital heart disease. Dr. Holt earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Rice University and his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed residency in pediatrics and fellowships in pediatric cardiology and advanced fellowship in interventional catheterization at Washington University School of Medicine. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Holt maintains privileges at St. David’s Medical Center and Seton Medical Center for the catheterization of adult patients with congenital heart disease. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Society, American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Cardiology, and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
