Biography

Cæcilie Damgaard Ketil Hejl is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of Educational Science at the University of Southern Denmark. Her primary research interests include Dialogic Teaching, Bildung, Teaching Quality, and Education for Sustainable Development. Currently, she is involved in a project focused on Eco-engagement and Eco-literacy, funded by Danmarks Frie Forskningsfond (DFF). This project investigates how dialogic teaching practices influence upper secondary school students' engagement with sustainability and climate change-related issues. In her previous work, she has collaborated on the Quality Nordic Teaching (QUINT) project to explore the criteria for assessing the quality of observed dialogic teaching practices across Nordic classrooms. Cæcilie is also developing professional development courses for teachers, focusing on innovative teaching methods. She draws on her strong background in philosophy and qualitative research methodologies to contribute to the academic community, and actively participates in workshops and conferences to share her findings with educators and researchers alike.
