Dr. Caddie Gao

Biography

Caddie Gao is a decision scientist working at the intersection of business and information systems. Her research focuses on examining decision support technologies and their impact on addressing organizational challenges. She is particularly interested in applying behavioral economics to understand human decision-making, and designing, developing, and evaluating business analytics/intelligence systems to enhance decision-making processes and outcomes. Dr. Gao is currently focused on devising behavioral interventions to change human behavior in predictable ways, explicitly aimed at improving decision-making processes. Her research methodologies include design science, qualitative, and quantitative research methods. Additionally, she has experience teaching various courses in the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University, including governance strategy in business, electronic business, and advanced topics in information systems. Dr. Gao has contributed to research collaboration focused on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and has significant involvement with projects aimed at value-based digital health transformation and decision support systems.
