Dr. Caleb Ing

Biography

Caleb Ing, MD, is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology (in Epidemiology) at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. He completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and pursued residency training in Anesthesiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology. His research focuses on evaluating short- and long-term cognitive outcomes in children exposed to anesthesia at a young age. Dr. Ing has made significant contributions in identifying cognitive outcomes that assess vulnerable groups of children and understanding complications that may arise during surgeries, including intraoperative hemodynamics and adverse events. His work has improved knowledge in pediatric anesthesia, ensuring better care for children undergoing surgical procedures.
