Biography

Cong (Callie) Hao is an assistant professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech, where she holds the Sutterfield Family Early Career Professorship. She completed her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Waseda University in 2017 and also obtained her Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, Dr. Hao worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2018 to 2020. Her research interests focus on the joint areas of efficient hardware design and machine learning algorithms, emphasizing power software/hardware co-design. She is particularly passionate about reconfigurable high-efficiency computing and the development of useful electronic design automation tools. In addition to her academic pursuits, Dr. Hao enjoys outdoor activities such as mountain climbing, long-distance hiking, cycling, and running, and she is also an enthusiastic amateur Judo player.
