Biography

Calvin Langton is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Windsor. He holds dual Ph.D. degrees, one in Medical Science from the University of Toronto (2003) and another in Clinical Child Psychology from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto (2010). Langton has a rich background as a Research Associate at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, as well as a Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham, UK. His clinical expertise includes being a registered clinical forensic psychologist in Ontario and a Chartered Psychologist in the UK, working with diverse populations including children, adolescents, and adults. Langton's research mainly focuses on applying theoretical issues to clinical practice, particularly in areas such as interpersonal aggression, crime, recidivism, and personality disorders. His recent projects have examined child maltreatment and the interplay between emotional intelligence and personality traits, particularly those associated with the Dark Triad. He has also served on the editorial boards of various academic journals, including 13 years with Criminal Justice Behavior and 17 years with Sexual Abuse, and has authored significant works in the field. Langton is interested in supervising new graduate students for the 2026-27 academic year.
