Cameron Callipari, MD, is an emergency medicine physician at NYU Langone Health, dedicated to helping individuals during their most challenging times. His role allows him to make a significant impact by providing immediate, high-quality care while ensuring that patients in the emergency department receive personalized and tailored treatment. Dr. Callipari has a special interest in sports medicine, LGBTQ+ health, and global health initiatives. As a former soccer player, he understands the importance of quickly diagnosing and managing sports injuries to help athletes return to peak performance. He is also committed to addressing the healthcare disparities faced by the LGBTQ+ community through research and community outreach, particularly in HIV testing. His global health work has taken him to Central America, South America, and parts of Africa, where he has delivered direct medical care and contributed to public health initiatives. Throughout his career, Dr. Callipari has focused on proactive healthcare engagement and fostering strong partnerships with patients. He believes in the importance of coordinated care and works closely with colleagues across specialties to ensure comprehensive treatment.
