Biography

Camille Fournier de Lauriere started her PhD at ETH Zurich in March 2024, focusing on Environmental Politics and Air Quality. She holds a Master's degree in Ecosystem Ecology from the University of Montpellier, and a Bachelor's degree in Ecology. Prior to her PhD, Camille worked as a Geospatial Scientist and Assistant Scientist in the Global Ecosystem Ecology group at ETH Zurich, where she contributed to developing remote sensing measurements to assess biodiversity and identify drivers of vegetation resilience. Camille aims to improve the understanding of how humans interact with the environment by combining large spatial datasets and surveys. Outside of her academic pursuits, she enjoys spending time in the sun, hiking in the mountains, biking, playing music, and engaging in board games, especially in Zurich where sunlight is often scarce.
