Camilo Rindt is an Associate Professor in the Energy Technology group at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). His primary research interests include PV/T combi-panels, compact seasonal heat storage in the built environment using solid sorption materials, and district heating networks. Camilo investigates material properties and the hydration/dehydration behavior of solid sorption materials employing techniques such as molecular dynamics simulations and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) experiments. He also works on the design of building-integrated PV/T systems and the optimization of district heating networks utilizing distributed energy sources like geothermal heat and heat pumps. In addition to his role as Associate Professor, he serves as Program Director for Master’s programs in Sustainable Engineering and Technology Systems & Control and as Graduate Program Director for Automotive Systems. Camilo holds both an MSc and PhD from TU/e and previously conducted postdoctoral research in biomedical engineering, focusing on experimental and numerical analyses of blood flow in carotid artery bifurcations.
Specific departments like Industrial Design require a portfolio. Programs like Data Science and AI require a GRE-General test for certain international backgrounds.
