Dr. Candice Roufosse

Biography

Candice Roufosse is a Clinical Reader in Renal Pathology at Imperial College London, where she holds a 50% full-time equivalent position. She is also a Consultant Renal Transplant Pathologist and has been in this role since November 2007. Her expertise spans renal transplant pathology, gene expression analysis, and diagnostic tissue samples, with ongoing developments in advanced imaging techniques, including super-resolution microscopy and digital pathology utilizing machine learning. Candice leads the renal electron microscopy sub-specialty at North West London Pathology along with being a renal transplant pathology sub-specialty lead at the Royal College of Pathologists. Holding an MD from Université Libre de Bruxelles and a PhD from the University of London, she contributes to translational research in renal transplant pathology to enhance diagnostic capabilities and patient outcomes, actively participating in clinical trials.
