Dr. Cara Fuchs

Biography

Cara Fuchs is a Clinical Associate Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, awarded in 2011, and an MPH in Epidemiology from Boston University obtained in 2005. She completed her undergraduate degree with a BA in Psychology from Tufts University in 2000. Her academic and clinical background includes serving as a Psychology Resident in the Adult Track at the University of Washington School of Medicine and as an APA Clinical Fellow in Primary Care Behavioral Health at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial VA Hospital. Fuchs has held various academic roles, including appointments as an Instructor of Psychiatry at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University and as an Associate Psychologist at the Department of Psychiatry at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Her research interests include Anxiety, Depression, Family Practice, and Outcome Assessment in Health Care, with a focus on the integration of telehealth services in mental health. She has received grants to support her research endeavors, including funding from the Nord Family Fund. Fuchs is also active in publishing and has engaged in various collaborations throughout her career.
