Biography

Caren Helbing is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Victoria. She leads a large and productive research group focused on understanding biomolecules to promote animal and environmental health. Her research is recognized internationally and applies a broad range of cutting-edge techniques, including transcriptomics, genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and bioinformatics.
