Biography

Professor Simonson became an Assistant Professor in 2001, promoted to Associate Professor in 2003, received tenure in 2005, and was promoted to Professor in 2007. From 2007/08 to 2014/15, he served as a Visiting Professor at the Mass Heat Transfer Process Laboratory, Department of Process and Environmental Engineering, University of Oulu, Finland. Prior to becoming a faculty member in the U.S., he spent four years at the Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT) as a research scientist and senior research scientist. He is currently a member of the editorial board of the Journal Building Physics and a corresponding member of ASHRAE TC 5.5 'Air-to-Air Energy Recovery'.
