Dr. Carina Brown

Biography

Carina Brown is a predoctoral psychology fellow at the Yale School of Medicine, specializing in Clinical Community Psychology within the Department of Psychiatry. She is currently completing her doctoral internship at the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Intensive Outpatient Program. Carina is a doctoral candidate in the Clinical Psychology Joint Doctoral Program at San Diego State University and the University of California San Diego. Her clinical training emphasizes evidence-based interventions for eating disorders, affective disorders, trauma-related challenges, and anxiety disorders, primarily in academic medical center and VA hospital system settings. Carina's research aims to investigate the learning and decision-making processes as well as neurocognitive functions in individuals with eating disorders, utilizing computational modeling and neuroimaging techniques to enhance understanding of these complex issues.
