Biography

Carine Lallemand is an Assistant Professor in the Systemic Change cluster of the Industrial Design department. With a background in Psychology and Human-Computer Interaction, her research focuses on the development, adaptation, and validation of user experience design evaluation methods. Carine is the author of a textbook on UX methods, which is currently used in more than 100 curriculums across six French-speaking countries. She leads the Vitality Squad at the Vitality Studio, overseeing projects that aim to trigger behavior changes for healthier lifestyles, contributing solutions to both physical and mental vitality. Her work emphasizes the use of aesthetics and interaction principles to employ data creatively, deploying interactive artifacts that support motivational change in areas such as office vitality, urban environments, and personal health. Carine is a passionate advocate for academia-industry relationships and serves as the vice-president of the French-speaking UXPA chapter in Europe. She co-founded a premier national conference on UX design in Paris, which attracts 600 attendees annually, and has been actively involved in organizing numerous UX conferences and workshops. In 2018, she delivered the opening keynote at the UXPA International conference, thereby disseminating cutting-edge scientific research into the public arena.
