Carl D’Apolito-Dworkin is a Design Critic at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he explores the intersections of architecture, materiality, and environmental processes. His research focuses on the translation of mathematical models into architectural innovations, particularly in standardizing facade components and developing fabrication systems that maintain design flexibility during project delivery. He has worked as an associate partner and project architect at Preston Scott Cohen, Inc., leading significant projects such as the Temple Beth Shalom Synagogue and the Anhui Province Museum of Science and Technology. Carl has an M.Arch from Harvard and was awarded the AIA Henry Adams Medal, as well as a B.A. summa cum laude from Yale University, where he received the Louis Sudler Prize in the Arts. In addition to his role at Harvard, he has lectured at the University of Pennsylvania’s Weitzman School of Design and Northeastern University’s College of Art Media and Design.
