Dr. Carl Dahlström

Biography

Carl Dahlström is a Professor of Political Science and the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Gothenburg. His research focuses on comparative historical perspectives in public administration, with an emphasis on administrative reforms and welfare state policymaking. Dahlström has studied Swedish immigrant policy and the influence of anti-immigrant parties. He has served as a visiting scholar at several prestigious institutions, including the European University Institute, University of Oxford, Sciences Po in Paris, Harvard University, and Stockholm University. He supervises multiple graduate students and has published works in prominent journals such as the American Journal of Political Science and the Annual Review of Political Science. Dahlström is also known for co-authoring the monograph 'Organizing Leviathan' and for his editorial roles in various academic publications.
