Biography

Carl Ardy Dubois is a full professor and dean of the École de santé publique at the Université de Montréal. He holds a PhD in public health from the Université de Montréal, having previously earned a doctorate in medicine, a master’s degree, and completed postgraduate studies in health services administration, epidemiology, and statistics. He completed postdoctoral studies at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, collaborating with the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies. Dubois has been a regular researcher at the Institut de recherche en santé publique de l’Université de Montréal and the CIUSSS du Nord-de-l’Île-de-Montréal. His research focuses on health service organization, human resource management in healthcare, and service performance evaluation. He has led various programs examining organizational models in the health sector and has received the Peter Reizensten Prize from the International Society for Quality in Health Care in 2014. Dubois has also engaged extensively in collaborative projects both within Canada and internationally, advising several health ministries on policy development. He has supervised numerous doctoral and master’s theses in nursing and health administration, contributing significantly to the field through his research and academic leadership.
