Biography

Carl Gagliardi's research interests focus on experimental nuclear physics, specifically on the weak electromagnetic interaction properties, spin excitations in nuclei, rare particle decays, and fundamental symmetries. He earned his B.S. degree from Yale University and both his M.A. and Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1977 and 1982, respectively. Gagliardi performed research at Argonne National Laboratory from 1977 to 1982. His achievements include membership in Phi Beta Kappa and receiving the De Forrest Senior Mathematics Prize at Yale, along with a National Science Foundation Fellowship. He joined the faculty at Texas A&M University in 1982 and has established significant institutional partnerships through the Cyclotron Institute.
